About Pastor Marcus E. Turner
Dr. Marcus E. Turner has graced the role of Pastor at Beulah Baptist Church for two and a half decades, leading a devoted congregation of faithful followers of Jesus Christ with grace and wisdom.
Before assuming the role of Pastor, Dr. Turner dedicated his service to Beulah Baptist Church as a Supply Pastor, Assistant Pastor under the late Pastor Moses L. Jackson, Jr., and as the Youth Minister.
Pastor Turner is wedded to Minister Lisa S. Turner. Minister Lisa has been by Pastor Turner's side throughout his tenure at Beulah Baptist Church, from his days as Youth Minister to commemorating his 25th Pastoral Anniversary, spanning almost three decades! Pastor Turner is the proud father of four grown children–Marcus II, Gabrielle, Victoria, and Bethany.
In 1999, Pastor Turner earned his Doctor of Ministry (D.Min), followed by his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2009.

Pastor Steele is the pastor of Pilgrim Baptist Church in Roanoke, Virginia. He is actively engaged in civic, cultural, and religious activities at the local, state, and national levels. Pastor Steele is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of three funeral homes: Serenity Funeral Home in Roanoke, Portsmouth, and Pulaski. On December 5, 1999, Pastor Steele, on behalf of his ailing father, the late Dr. T. Melvin Steele of the New First Baptist Church (Taylorsville), Portsmouth, VA, installed Pastor Turner as the eighth pastor of Beulah Baptist Church.

Pastor Paige officially became the Pastor of New First Baptist Church (Taylorsville) on April 15, 2018. Pastor Paige and our Pastor have developed a strong brotherly bond. Since 2018, their relationship has grown closer over time, resembling that of brothers.. Pastor Paige, his wife, First Lady Nicole Paige, and the entire New First Baptist Church (Taylorsville) family hold a special place in Pastor Turner's heart. When Pastor Turner was installed on December 5, 1999, the New First Baptist Church (Taylorsville) showed up in large numbers to support their "Son in the Ministry." Ever since then, New First Baptist Church (Taylorsville) has been there for Pastor Turner, offering their unwavering support.
We are thrilled to welcome Pastor Paige and the New First Baptist Church (Taylorsville) to join us in commemorating this significant event. Their presence adds to the joy of this momentous occasion.
